At its core, CrossFit is a lifestyle, pairing safe and effective exercise with good nutrition. In practice, CrossFit focuses on three main pillars – The Movement, The Lifestyle and The Community.

The Movement

Classes are programmed as constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. This is great for developing a broad base of fitness. Rather than working muscles in isolation, CrossFit workouts involve the entire body using movements similar to those you use every day in life.

At SiSU we’re passionate about everyone being able to participate no matter your fitness level, experience or injury status. Our head coach and resident physiotherapist can individualise each and every workout to suit you specifically.

The Lifestyle

Exercise is only one part of the CrossFit lifestyle. Being a CrossFitter is also about implementing good habits with nutrition and recovery. This involves eating well, staying hydrated, stretching, getting appropriate rest, sleeping well and overall listening to your body.

At SiSU we believe in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Our resident health and wellness coach can work with you to establish good habits and behaviours to create a healthy lifestyle that encompasses more than just training.

The Community

The community that forms when people do these workouts together is a key component of why CrossFit is so effective. Harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition and fun of sport and pairing it with the support, kindness and social interaction of our members yields an environment that cannot be matched.

Our community is no doubt the best thing about SiSU.


CrossFit at SiSU

At SiSU we truely believe that CrossFit is for everyone. All you need to do is look at our members – we’ve got teenagers to members in their 70’s, new mums, members recovering from injury, those who haven’t exercised in years and others who have been doing CrossFit for more than 10 years.

However we realise that due to the variety of our members and the individual goals of each member we needed some structured variation in our classes. We developed a program that offers a CrossFit style for everyone. All of our CrossFit classes offer variations to suit each individual from beginner to advanced, from those looking to get fitter, stronger or learn high level CrossFit skills.
